Graduate Studies: Deadline for guaranteed consideration by the Faculty of Graduate Studies of recommendations from graduate programs for overseas international students to be admitted for registration in January 2011. Late recommendations may be accepted upon special request from a graduate program.

Deadline for the completion of the Language Proficiency Index (LPI) test by BC students (including students who are non-BC residents studying at BC educational institutions) intending to take a first-year English course beginning in September 2010.

Language Proficiency Index (LPI): Out-of-province students may be granted permission by the First-Year English Office to write on Saturday September 4, 2010 if they miss the LPI sitting in their province. To seek permission, write to the First-Year English Office (first.year-english@ubc.ca) by July 15, 2010.
