Graduate Studies: Last day for final master's theses and doctoral dissertations to be accepted by the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies for December 31 program end date. Must be approved and accepted by 4:00 pm. Students who meet this deadline will not be assessed tuition and student fees for 2017/18 Winter Session Term 2.

Graduate Studies: Last day for graduate programs to notify the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies that all requirements (including major papers) have been met for non-thesis master's degrees for December 31 program end date. Students who meet this deadline will not be assessed tuition and student fees for 2017/18 Winter Session Term 2.

Last day for payment of second instalment of fees for registration and course changes made on or before December 31. Students who have not paid their fees will be placed on financial hold; further registration activity will not be permitted, grades will not be released and graduation diplomas will be withheld. Student will also be assessed a processing fee of $35 and interest will be assessed on the outstanding balance until it is paid in full (see Fees).

Deadline for currently enrolled undergraduate students to apply for a change of program or a change of campus for the 2018 Winter Session. The following programs have an extended application deadline of May 15 for change of program requests from current UBC students: BA, BSC, BSFN, BSAB, and BSGR.

Deadline for undergraduate students to apply for admission for the 2018 Summer Session.

Deadline for undergraduate students to apply for admission for the 2018 Winter Session.

Deadline for undergraduate students who have previously attended UBC to apply for readmission for the 2018 Winter Session. The following programs have an extended application deadline of May 15 for readmission to the same program from current UBC students: BA, BSC, BSFN, BSAB, and BSGR.

Last day for students to apply for Winter Term 2 Only General Bursary. Available to students online through the Student Service Centre between December 15, 2017 and January 15, 2018, closes at midnight. Students must have confirmed full-time enrolment for Term 2, must be receiving their 2017/18 Term 2 only student loans, and must have assessed unmet financial need to be considered for general bursaries.

LAW: 2017W Term 1 Deferred Examinations begin (January 15 to 26 inclusive).
