ARTC: Arts Co-Op


  1. ARTC 100 (3) Arts Co-op Search Term #1

    Search term to obtain first work term. Completion of pre-employment workshops, group and individual coaching sessions on job search processes, and minimum number of job applications required. Students apply for jobs and go for interviews until they are hired. Pass/Fail. Restricted to students in the Arts Co-op Program. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

    Prerequisite: Completion of Writing Component of Arts Writing and Research Requirement strongly recommended.

  2. ARTC 110 (3) Arts Co-op Work Term #1

    Approved and supervised work experience with a non-profit, public or private organization for a minimum of 13 weeks full-time. Reflective assignments required. ARTC 110 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 200. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisite: ARTC 100. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  3. ARTC 200 (3) Arts Co-op Search Term #2

    Search term to obtain second work term. Completion of self-assessment, individual coaching sessions, and minimum number of job applications required. Students apply for jobs and go for interviews until they are hired. ARTC 110 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 200. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisite: ARTC 110. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  4. ARTC 210 (3) Arts Co-op Work Term #2

    Approved and supervised work experience with a non-profit, public or private organization for a minimum of 12 weeks and/or 420 hours full-time. Reflective assignments required. Credit will be granted for only one of ARTC 210 or 211. ARTC 210 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 300. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisite: ARTC 200. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  5. ARTC 211 (3) Arts Co-op Work Term #2 (Extension)

    Extension of co-op term with the same employer as ARTC 110 for a minimum of 12 weeks and/or 420 hours full-time. ARTC 211 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 300. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisite: ARTC 110. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  6. ARTC 300 (3) Arts Co-op Search Term #3

    Search term to obtain third work term. Reflective assignment required and individual coaching sessions optional. Students apply for jobs and go for interviews until they are hired. ARTC 210 and ARTC 211 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 300. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisites: one of ARTC 210, ARTC 211. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  7. ARTC 310 (3) Arts Co-op Work Term #3

    Approved and supervised work experience with a non-profit, public or private organization for a minimum of 12 weeks and/or 420 hours full-time. Reflective assignments required. Credit will be granted for only one of ARTC 310 and 311. ARTC 310 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 400. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisite: ARTC 300. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  8. ARTC 311 (3) Arts Co-op Work Term #3 (Extension)

    Extension of co-op term with the same employer as ARTC 210 or 211 for a minimum of 12 weeks and/or 420 hours full-time. Reflective assignments required. Credit will be granted for only one of ARTC 310 and 311. ARTC 311 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 400. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisites: one of ARTC 210, ARTC 211. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  9. ARTC 400 (3) Arts Co-op Search Term #4

    Search term to obtain optional fourth work term. Reflective assignment required and individual coaching sessions optional. Students apply for jobs and go for interviews until they are hired. ARTC 310 and ARTC 311 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 400. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisites: one of ARTC 310, ARTC 311. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  10. ARTC 410 (3) Arts Co-op Work Term #4

    Optional fourth work term. Approved and supervised work experience with a non-profit, public or private organization for a minimum of 12 weeks and/or 420 hours full-time. Reflective assignments required. Credit will be granted for only one of ARTC 410 and 411. ARTC 410 and ARTC 411 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 445. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisite: ARTC 400. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  11. ARTC 411 (3) Arts Co-op Work Term #4 (Extension)

    Extension of co-op term with the same employer as ARTC 310 or 311 for a minimum of 12 weeks and/or 420 hours full-time. Reflective assignments required. Credit will be granted for only one of ARTC 410 and 411. ARTC 411 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 445. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisite: one of ARTC 310, ARTC 311. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  12. ARTC 445 (3) Arts Co-op Search Term #5

    Search term to obtain optional fifth work term. Reflective assignment required and individual coaching sessions optional. Students apply for jobs and go for interviews until they are hired. ARTC 410 and ARTC 411 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 445. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisites: one of ARTC 410, ARTC 411. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  13. ARTC 450 (3) Arts Co-op Work Term #5

    Optional fifth work term. Approved and supervised work experience with a non-profit, public or private organization for a minimum of 12 weeks and/or 420 hours full-time. Reflective assignments required. Credit will be granted for only one of ARTC 450 and 451. ARTC 450 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 456. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisite: ARTC 445. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  14. ARTC 451 (3) Arts Co-op Work Term #5 (Extension)

    Extension of co-op term with the same employer as ARTC 410 or 411 for a minimum of 12 weeks and/or 420 hours full-time. Reflective assignments required. Credit will be granted for only one of ARTC 450 and 451. ARTC 451 can be taken at the same time as ARTC 456. Pass/Fail. Recommended pre-requisites: one of ARTC 410, ARTC 411. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  15. ARTC 456 (3) Arts Co-op Search Term #6
