LATN 101 (3) First-Year Latin I
Classical Latin for students with no previous knowledge of Latin, Part I.
LATN 102 (3) First-Year Latin II
Classical Latin for students with no previous knowledge of Latin, Part II.
Prerequisite: LATN 101.
LATN 201 (3) Second-Year Latin I
Completion of the grammatical foundations of classical Latin, Part I.
Prerequisite: LATN 102.
LATN 202 (3) Second-Year Latin II
Completion of the grammatical foundations of classical Latin, Part II, and an introduction to the reading of unadapted passages of Latin literature.
Prerequisite: LATN 201.
LATN 350 (3) Latin Literature of the Classical Period (Prose)
Readings in Latin Prose.
Prerequisite: One of LATN 202, LATN 200.
LATN 351 (3) Latin Literature of the Classical Period (Verse)
Readings in Latin Verse.
Prerequisite: One of LATN 200, LATN 202.
LATN 401 (3-12) c Latin Prose
Studies in history, oratory and/or philosophy. May be repeated for up to 12 credits. It is recommended that the corequisite course be completed prior to LATN 401. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
Corequisite: One of LATN 301, LATN 350, LATN 351.
LATN 402 (3-12) c Latin Verse
Studies in narrative verse, comedy, satire, elegiac and lyric poetry. May be repeated for up to 12 credits. It is recommended that the corequisite course be completed prior to LATN 402. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
Corequisite: One of LATN 301, LATN 350, LATN 351.
LATN 501 (3/6) c Latin Prose
History, oratory and/or philosophy. Credit will not be given for both LATN 401 and LATN 501. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
LATN 502 (3/6) c Latin Verse
Narrative verse, comedy, satire, elegiac and lyric poetry. Credit will not be given for both LATN 402 and LATN 502. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
LATN 521 (3/6) c Studies in Latin Literature
This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
LATN 525 (3/6) d Seminar in Latin Literature
This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
LATN 530 (3/6) d Seminar in Roman Archaeology
