GREK 101 (3) Beginning Ancient Greek I
Classical and Hellenistic Greek, Part I.
GREK 102 (3) Beginning Ancient Greek II
Classical and Hellenistic Greek, Part II.
Prerequisite: GREK 101.
GREK 201 (3) Intermediate Ancient Greek I
Completion of the grammatical foundations of Ancient Greek, Part I.
Prerequisite: GREK 102.
GREK 202 (3) Intermediate Ancient Greek II
Completion of the grammatical foundations of Ancient Greek, Part II; introduction to the reading of unadapted passages of Greek literature.
Prerequisite: GREK 201.
GREK 351 (3) Reading Ancient Greek: Prose
Readings in the major authors in Greek prose.
Prerequisite: GREK 202.
GREK 352 (3) Reading Ancient Greek: Verse
Readings in the major authors in Greek verse.
Prerequisite: GREK 202.
GREK 401 (3-12) c Greek Prose
Studies in history, philosophy and/or oratory. It is recommended that the corequisite course be completed prior to GREK 401. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
Corequisite: Either (a) GREK 351 or (b) GREK 352.
GREK 402 (3-12) c Greek Verse
Studies in epic, tragedy and/or comedy. It is recommended that the corequisite course be completed prior to GREK 402. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
Corequisite: Either (a) GREK 351 or (b) GREK 352.
GREK 403 (3-6) d Studies in Ancient Greek Prose and Verse
Thematic studies using both Greek prose and Greek verse. May be repeated for up to 6 credits. It is recommended that the corequisite course be completed prior to GREK 403. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
Corequisite: One of GREK 351, GREK 352.
GREK 501 (3/6) c Greek Prose
History, philosophy and/or oratory. Credit will not be given for both GREK 401 and GREK 501. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
GREK 502 (3/6) c Greek Verse
Epic, tragedy and/or comedy. Credit will not be given for both GREK 402 and GREK 502. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
GREK 503 (3-6) d Studies in Ancient Greek Prose and Verse
Advanced thematic studies using both Greek prose and Greek verse. May be repeated for up to 6 credits. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
