JRNL 400 (3) Feminist Postcolonial Critique and Journalism in a Digital Age
Feminist postcolonial critique of journalism, and an examination of underlying democratic ideals in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
JRNL 420 (3) Decoding Social Media
Examines the challenges, opportunities and foundational research related to the emergence of social media platforms, services and tools as part of an evolving media ecosystem. Political, social, ethical and legal implications for media organizations, journalists and citizens.
Prerequisite: Restricted to fourth-year students. Prior to registration, a minimum of 12-credits of 300-level courses related to media, technology and/or communications recommended.
