- Integration of soil physics, chemistry, and biology in understanding essential soil processes. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

- LWS 510 (3) Land and Water Seminar
- Current and emerging issues relevant within the general context of land and water systems, and the significance of professional credibility and exposure. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
- LWS 515 (3) Watershed Science
- Watershed evaluation, key aspects of hydrology, water quality, land use impacts on water resources and integration of multiple land use activities and their cumulative impacts. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

- LWS 516 (3) Urban Watershed Management
- Urbanization impacts on water resources with a focus on rainwater management, water quality, point and non-point sources of pollution, drinking water and waste water, riparian buffer zones, cumulative effects, and application of beneficial management practices. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

- LWS 517 (3) Land and Water Resource Evaluation
- Topics in land and water system evaluations and assessing resource development options: monitoring and modelling environmental systems. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

- LWS 520 (3) Agricultural Watershed Management
- Intensive and extensive agriculture with a focus on water needs, water use, and impacts on water resources. Non-point sources of pollution, nutrient modelling, soil and land degradation, protection, and rehabilitation of watersheds including buffer zones, wetlands, and best management practices. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

- Professional paper on topics focusing on emerging issues in water and land resources. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

- Communication strategies for natural resource management professionals, with an emphasis on written, oral and digital media communications in a multi-stakeholder context. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
