  1. LARC 316 (3) Trees and Shrubs in Landscape

    Culture and identification of landscape materials with emphasis on woody plants. Elementary principles of landscape composition. Suitable for students of other faculties and departments interested in landscape materials and their uses, but priority given to Agroecology and Landscape Architecture students. [2-2]

  2. LARC 415 (3) Plant Design

    An introduction to the design of enhanced environments through the use of plants. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

    Prerequisite: UFOR 316.

  3. LARC 444 (3) Green Network Planning

    Theory and methods of long-range green space planning for urban areas. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

    Equivalency: LARC 553.

  4. LARC 501 (9) Landscape Architecture Design Studio I

    Landscape design methods and processes. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

    Corequisite: LARC 511.

    History, principles, and theory of landscape architecture in Europe, America and Asia. Influence of cultural attitudes and societal change upon natural environments, parks, gardens, and town planning. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading. [3-0]

  13. LARC 523 (3) Landscape Architecture Theory

    Theoretical positions in landscape architecture and their relation to designed landscapes. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  14. LARC 525 (3) Design Research Methods

    Examination of various design research methods in contemporary practice in landscape architecture. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  15. LARC 531 (3) Landscape Technologies I

    Terrain design, drainage and stormwater management. Credit will be granted for only one of LARC 531 or LARC 431. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  16. LARC 532 (3) Landscape Technologies II

    Hard landscape materials. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
