Vancouver School of Theology (VST) is a multi-denominational graduate school known for its theological innovations while being rooted in Christian traditions. The School offers varied programs for all those interested in the study of theology or preparation for public and pastoral leadership. The School's goal is to be a centre for theological research and dialogue in partnership with First Nations through the Indigenous Studies Centre and with inter-religious partners through the Iona Pacific Inter-Religious Centre. It caters to both full and part-time students and offers the following degrees:
VST also offers programs, lectures, and workshops of general inquiry into theology, ministry, indigenous and inter-religious studies, and spirituality. Evening and weekend continuing education courses are also available to all.
As a member of the Native Ministries Consortium, VST offers a Master's of Divinity degree program by extension to prepare candidates identified and sponsored by Aboriginal communities and their churches for professional and lay ministry.
The VST Library is one of the major theological libraries in North America. It is open to anyone with a valid UBC Library card.
As of September 1, 2015, Vancouver School of Theology is located at 6015 Walter Gage Road. VST is formally affiliated with UBC and is fully accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada.
