The Institute of Asian Research (IAR), through its research centres, thematic research programs, regular lectures and seminars, and the Master of Arts Asia Pacific Policy Studies (M.A.A.P.P.S), strives to disseminate knowledge and expertise about the peoples and places of Asia and the Pacific to inform policy discourses and build understanding. IAR also continues its mandate to support interdisciplinary research in these areas.

Asia Pacific Policy Studies

The Master of Arts Asia Pacific Policy Studies program (M.A.A.P.P.S.) provides advanced training in research and analysis on policy issues relevant to the Asia and Pacific regions.

M.A.A.P.P.S. can be combined with three other degrees to form dual programs:

  • the Faculty of Law (J.D./M.A.A.P.P.S.)
  • the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration (M.B.A./M.A.A.P.P.S.)
  • the School of Community and Regional Planning (M.A.P./M.A.A.P.P.S.)
