  1. LATN 101 (3) Beginning Latin I

    Classical Latin, Part I.

  2. LATN 102 (3) Beginning Latin II

    Classical Latin, Part II.

    Prerequisite: LATN 101.

  3. LATN 201 (3) Intermediate Latin I

    Completion of the grammatical foundations of classical Latin, Part I.

    Prerequisite: LATN 102.

  4. LATN 301 (3) Intermediate Latin II

    Completion of the grammatical foundations of classical Latin, Part II; an introduction to the reading of unadapted passages of Latin literature and discussion of their cultural contexts. Credit will be granted for only one of LATN 202 or LATN 301.

    Prerequisite: LATN 201.

  5. LATN 350 (3) Latin Literature of the Classical Period (Prose)

    Readings in Latin Prose.

    Prerequisite: One of LATN 301, LATN 202, LATN 200.

  6. LATN 351 (3) Latin Literature of the Classical Period (Verse)

    Readings in Latin Verse.

    Prerequisite: One of LATN 301, LATN 200, LATN 202.

  7. LATN 401 (3-12) Latin Prose

    Studies in history, oratory and/or philosophy. A maximum of 12 credits can be granted for either one of or any combination of LATN 401, LATN 501. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

    Prerequisite: One of LATN 350, LATN 351.

  8. LATN 402 (3-12) Latin Verse

    Studies in narrative verse, comedy, satire, elegiac and lyric poetry. A maximum of 12 credits can be granted for either one of or any combination of LATN 402, LATN 502. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

    Prerequisite: One of LATN 350, LATN 351.

  9. LATN 403 (3-12) Studies in Latin Prose and Verse

    Thematic studies using both Latin prose and Latin verse. A maximum of 12 credits can be granted for either one of or any combination of LATN 403, LATN 503. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

    Prerequisite: One of LATN 350, LATN 351.

  10. LATN 501 (3-12) Latin Prose

    History, oratory and/or philosophy. A maximum of 12 credits can be granted for either one of or any combination of LATN 401, LATN 501. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  11. LATN 502 (3-12) Latin Verse

    Narrative verse, comedy, satire, elegiac and lyric poetry. A maximum of 12 credits can be granted for either one of or any combination of LATN 402, LATN 502. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  12. LATN 503 (3-12) Studies in Latin Prose and Verse

    Advanced thematic studies using both Latin prose and Latin verse. A maximum of 12 credits can be granted for either one of or any combination of LATN 403, LATN 503. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
