  1. PLNT 505 (3) Plant-Water Relations for Sustainable Agriculture

    Water requirements of woody perennial crops for production and survival, application of physiological stress thresholds for irrigation management. Credit will be granted for only one of PLNT 505, APBI 405, APBI 351, BIOL 351, FRST 311. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  2. PLNT 506 (3) Advanced Pollination Biology

    Fundamental and advanced research topics in pollination biology as they relate to natural selection, ecology, insect cognition, conservation and agriculture. Credit will be granted for only one of PLNT 506 or APBI 406. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  3. PLNT 523 (3) Graduate Research Seminar

  4. PLNT 530 (2-6) c Directed Studies

  5. PLNT 540 (3) Plant Molecular Biology Laboratory

    Techniques of purification, cloning, sequencing, restriction-hybridization analysis of plant nucleic acids, in vitro labelling of plant nucleic acids and proteins, and electrophoresis and immunodetection of plant proteins. Offered by the Biotechnology Teaching Laboratory in cooperation with Plant Science. Admissions to the course is limited and requires recommendation from the Program Coordinator. Recommended: BIOL 355. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

    Equivalency: BOTA 544, FRST 503.

  6. PLNT 542 (3) Wine Grape and Berry Biology

    Credit will be granted for only one of PLNT 542, APBI 442 or APBI 443. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  7. PLNT 549 (12/18) c Master's Thesis

    This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

  8. PLNT 575 (3) Indigenous Ecologies

    Application of Indigenous worldviews and knowledges to ecology. Colonial history of modern ecology, foundations and examples of Indigenous ecologies, restoration applying multiple worldviews, and Indigenized, culturally appropriate ecological research and decision-making processes. Credit will only be granted for only one of APBI 475, FRST 475, PLNT 575 or FRST 575. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

    Prerequisite: A second-year or higher ecology course.

    Equivalency: FRST 575.
